Required Educational Topics
Stay licensed without disrupting your business.
You know continuing education is essential — and we get it. That’s why we offer state-approved CE courses designed to help you stay current and compliant without slowing down your career.
Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
Stay current. Stay compliant. Stay ahead.
If you hold an active real estate license with a license number above 100,000, the Georgia Real Estate Commission (GREC) requires you to complete 36 hours of approved continuing education (CE) every four years. This includes:
-
3 hours on the topic of License Law (required for all licensees)
-
18 hours of Broker-specific CE (required for Brokers, included in the 36 hours total)
Check your GREC license status
Post-License Requirement
New licensees are required to complete a 25-hour Salesperson Post-license course within their first year of licensure.
- The course must be approved by GREC
- Failure to complete the course within one year will result in a lapsed license
Check your GREC license status
REALTOR® Membership Training Requirements
In addition to state licensing requirements, all licensees who are members of the National Association of REALTORS® must complete REALTOR® Code of Ethics and Fair Housing / Anti-Bias training upon joining — and once every three years thereafter.
- The current training cycle runs from January 1, 2025 to December 31, 2027. These requirements must be fulfilled at any time within the designated cycle.
