The Atlanta REALTORS® Political Action Committee Recognizes Major Investors and Welcomes Economic Development Panel at 2024 RPAC Champions Luncheon.
March 22, 2024
This year, the annual RPAC Champions luncheon was moved from August to March to recognize the extraordinary dedication of ARPAC investors. Members of both ACBR and ARA who reached the NAR Major Investor level for the first time in 2023, and those who stepped up to a higher level of investment, were personally recognized during the luncheon.
This year’s luncheon also featured two ARA members, DeAnn Golden and Nancy See who both reached the RPAC Hall of Fame level in 2023. DeAnn and Nancy will also be recognized by NAR later this year in Washington, D.C.
Other members who selflessly invested more than $200 last year were invited to the luncheon in appreciation for their dedication to ARPAC and REALTOR® Advocacy efforts. Those attending the March 8th luncheon also had the opportunity to hear from a panel of experts who play a pivotal role in directing the economic future of our region and our state. The panelists included: Kristi Brigman, Deputy Commissioner of Global Commerce at the Georgia Department of Economic Development; Dr. Eloisa Klementich, CEcD, President and CEO of Invest Atlanta; and Shannon James, President and CEO of Aerotropolis Atlanta.
The panelists provided an update on the economic development efforts currently underway in the region and stressed the importance of the strong collaboration between state and local government agencies in promoting Georgia, not just within the United States but throughout the world. As expected, all three speakers indicated how important housing affordability is to any economic development program and a major concern when it comes to recruiting new businesses.
