About Event

This class introduces commercial property management duties and responsibilities. It identifies the components of a property management agreement. You will calculate absorption rate, several types managements fees and commissions for leases. Skills required for landlord representation with respect to leasing property will be identified and discussed in detail.

Through individual groups, you will prepare marketing plans for office, retail, industrial and apartment properties. You will be introduced to tenant representation and lease issues. The leasing process and a letter of intent will be explained. Types of leases will be compared and you will distinguish pass-throughs and percentage rent. Commercial lease provisions and clauses will be reviewed.

Please Note: If you have previously taken this course, the Georgia Real Estate Commission requires 366 days before you can receive credit.

Requirements for participating in a virtual class:

  • Your device must have a video webcam, microphone, and speakers. (You are required to enable video so that we can monitor attendance.)
  • You need to set up a free Zoom account prior to the class. (Your free 40-minute account will allow you easy access to our ZOOM Classroom account.)
  • You are expected to attend the entire class session (except during the 15-minute break) just as if you were sitting in a classroom.
