This course is designed to provide a review of current license law, the rules and regulations as set forth by the Georgia Real Estate Commission. It satisfies the requirement for a three-hour course in license law as part of Georgia's mandatory continuing education for license renewal. As of July 2020, all individuals who hold an active real estate license and whose license number is above 100,000 are required to complete 36 hours of Commission approved continuing education during each four (4) year renewal period, including 3 hours on the topic of License Law. If your license number is less than 100,000 you are not required to complete continuing education for renewal.
License law is the means by which the core values of the Georgia Real Estate Commission are enforced and upheld for the purpose of protecting the public interest. The main purpose of these core values is to protect the public from dishonest and incompetent agents.
About the Instructor:
Jessica Rahm of Campbell and Brannon, Gold Level Partner with the Paulding Board of REALTORS®!
Jessica brings a unique perspective to the closing process from her diverse background. Upon completion of her undergraduate education at Kennesaw State University, Jessica spent several years as a closing paralegal in Georgia. Her paralegal experience led her to law school in Alabama. While at Samford University, she worked as a title and closing agent. Upon graduation, she took a hiatus from transactional real estate, during which time she represented major lender and servicer clients as a litigator. She primarily focused on a wide range of real estate disputes and real property title curative litigation at several major law firms in the Atlanta area (including Campbell & Brannon) and also as an in-house counsel at a major national title insurance underwriter. Jessica’s legal practice came full circle and she returned to the Campbell & Brannon family as a closing attorney in early 2018.
