Member Safety Reports, 40% have found themselves in situations where they have feared for their safety or the safety of their personal information. Standard operating procedures and common practices in the real estate business are part of day-to-day habits of working with clients; however, these practices can put a real estate professional in danger and raise the risk of being attacked if working with a sketchy prospective client. This program is intended to educate, empower and train agents on methods of defensive self-defense that can be used to escape an attack and gain precious seconds that can determine whether or not an agent survives. Ken Malcom

With more than a 20-year veteran of police work and the founder of Personal Security Consultants. He graduated from Troy University with a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice. He is also a graduate of the FBI National Academy and Clayton Regional Police Academy. Ken was awarded the 2003 National D.A.R.E. Officer of the Year. He teaches safety and drug prevention courses statewide including continuing education and convention courses for GAR. He was selected as the 2006 and 2007 Instructor of the Year by the GAR Partners in Education program. Ken also serves as a guest instructor for the National Real Estate Conventions for Better Homes and Gardens.
