Ignorance of the law is not an excuse for break it. Not being aware of acceptable real estate practices and procedures does not prevent license revocation. Most practicing real estate professionals took the prelicense course a long time ago. The purpose of this course is to review specific laws, rules and practices that guide the real estate industry in Georgia. This program meets the requirements of the GREC mandated license law course. Topics covered include trust account requirements, unfair trade practices, brokerage relationships, firm management responsibilities, advertising, handling real estate transactions, notification requirements, and licensees acting as principals.
