The Atlanta REALTORS® Association's Better Together: Shaping the Next Era of Real Estate Summit on October 8 was more than another industry event — it was a day filled with meaningful conversations, new perspectives, relationship-building, and a little fun along the way!
Hosted by ARA's Diversity & Inclusion Council, the summit brought together REALTORS®, business leaders, economic development professionals, and multicultural real estate organizations to explore the opportunities and challenges shaping our industry and our communities.
What happens when economic development meets residential real estate? A whole new perspective on opportunity!
One of the day's highlights was a first-of-its-kind ARA panel discussion exploring the intersection of commercial and residential real estate. Leaders from Georgia Power, the Georgia Department of Economic Development, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, and Invest Atlanta joined moderator and ARA Past President Karen Hatcher to explore how business investment, job creation, and regional growth influence housing demand and the future of Metro Atlanta.
The takeaway? Understanding where our region is headed can help REALTORS® better understand where opportunities are emerging.
Another standout moment was the candid and timely discussion, "The Death of DEI: Addressing Challenges and Supporting Diversity."
Leaders from ARA and its multicultural partner organizations came together for a thought-provoking conversation about the evolving landscape of diversity, equity, and inclusion in real estate.
The discussion challenged participants to think beyond headlines and consider the importance of representation, collaboration, and creating opportunities for all.
Of course, it wasn't all serious business!
Attendees enjoyed networking, great food, and a lively BINGO Get-Acquainted activity that encouraged everyone to step outside their usual circles, meet someone new, and connect with ARA's valued Community Partners.
With prizes, laughter, and plenty of opportunities to exchange ideas, the summit demonstrated that some of the best professional connections happen when we make learning fun!
A huge thank-you to our incredible speakers, moderators, multicultural partners, Community Partners, volunteers, and the ARA Diversity & Inclusion Council for bringing this experience to life.
Most importantly, thank you to everyone who showed up ready to listen, participate, connect, and help shape what's next for our industry.
If you missed Better Together this year, make sure you're in the room for future ARA events! Because when we bring different perspectives, experiences, and ideas to the table, we create bigger opportunities for everyone.
Different Perspectives. Shared Opportunities. Better Together!
