DeKalb County is updating its Zoning Ordinance for the first time in a decade - and the Sign Ordinance for the first time in 20 years.
As DeKalb County continues to experience change and growth, the county recognizes the importance of reviewing its development regulations to ensure they reflect current conditions and support the priorities and concerns of residents, businesses, and the broader community.
The county is currently in Phase 2 of the project, which includes visioning and code drafting. This phase will run until December 2026. Phase 3 begins in January 2027 and will include code refinement and adoption.
